Property Deeds

My friend is responsible for the loan and his ex-girlfriend is not on the loan but both are on the deed to the property. She is demanding $10,000 to sign the deed over. Is there a way he can get her off the deed without paying her? She has never paid anything on the property and has proof of this.

Yes - you can probably file a partition suit at the least. I would need more information.
