Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Virginia

What Are My Rights Now?

In May 2006 I began a new job. During my training period, my instructor was VERY flirtatious with me and it made me uncomfortable. He then became my manager. His behavior continued through July 2006. In August 2006, he then placed his hand on my upper thigh at a social function and later invited me to stay in his hotel room. I did not respond. His uncomfortable statements continued through approximately March/April 2007 when he found out I was pregnant. After I returned to work from maternity leave, he completely changed. He now has turned on me calling my performance poor, telling me to look for another job, etc. Now I feel that since I didn't respond and had a baby he sees me as ''damaged goods'' and wants to get rid of me. I know it's past the 300 days for EEOC, but do I have any other rights?

Re: What Are My Rights Now?

Such claims must be brought within the required time frames, but if more than 300 days have elapsed since the last offensive act constituting the harassment, then you're remedy has likely expired, but you might want to check it all out in a consultation with an attorney who handles these kinds of matters to make sure.
