Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia
i am currently working for an hvac controls company and was recently injured while working on a government installation. i wanted to know if i am still entitled to my govt. wages for the 4 days i am unable to work from my injuriy?

Check with your HR department; it may depend upon whether you're covered by the federal or the state worker's compensation program.

Under State Workers' Comp in Virginia, you do not get it until you are out for 7 days. However, you may have sick leave or vacation time you may take.Also, if you are getting less wages due to Dr. appt.etc., these days count toward your 7.
