Can creditors continue to collect when debt is 7 years or older

as always, the answer is "it depends" ... the most typical reason a creditor can NOT collect after a given period of time is a statute of limitations defense ... these generally vary from 1 - 6 years in Washington - depending on the debt & whether in writing, etc ... some debts are not barred by statute of limitations: student loans, taxes, child support etc... Afraid I would need more detail for a specific answer, but have to say the answer is maybe ...
