Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Child support
I have been out of work for a couple of years because of injuries and moving. My ex-wife filed a notice of support debt and demand for payment. I have no income. My wife (Active Duty Air Force) is our only income. Can I file for an adjustment of child support, or can she go after my wife's income?

Re: Child support
You really should have filed for a reduction of child support when the injuries and job loss first occurred, because until there is a new order, the child support continues to accrue under the existing order.
Your ex-wife cannot go after your wife's income, but she can garnish bank accounts that you may own jointly with your wife.
I encourage you to talk to an attorney IMMEDIATELY about asking for a reduction in child support.
