Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Divorce
My exhusband and I are divorced but on the divorce papers it says we didn't have a child together, but he actually adopted my child during our marriage. Does this have any effect on the divorce? Is it still legel?

Re: Divorce
If your husband adopted your child, then you need to list that child in the decree as being dependent on both of you (assuming the child was a minor at the time the final decree of dissolution was entered). Additionally, since you were divorced and had a child together, if that child was a minor at the time of the divorce, then child support and a parenting plan should have been entered.
So, to answer your question about whether this has an effect on the divorce, while it may not change your legal status of no longer being married, if it were me, I would file a motion to set aside the Decree, in so far as it affects the child (again, assuming that the child was a minor at the time of the divorce).
