Re: legal rights-dont i have any?
You have lots of rights, including a right to an accounting of all marital or community assets. In the course of a dissolution of marriage, your lawyer will be able to compel your husband to reveal all his business, financial, and tax records.
Given your situation, where you have relied solely upon his income for what appears to be 10 years total, of which 7 were married, I would say it would be worth it to try and get an order for temporary spousal maintenance (alimony) to at least help get you back out there in the work force and get yourself situated. You should also file a motion asking for attorney's fees, given that again, you have had no independent source of income for 10 years.
You should also get going on trying to figure out what you need to do to get yourself going in term of a career or job, because even if you get temporary maintenance, one day very soon, you'll need to fend for yourself.
I hope this helps, at least a little. In the Spokane area, I suggest Lisa Larrick- she's also on LawGuru or you may locate her on Yahoo's yellow pages.
