Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Who pays attorney fee if ex is in contempt

I'm taking my ex-husband back to court because he hasn't paid court ordered daycare in over a year. Since that's the only reason we're going to court, can I request that he pay my attorney's fees? I asked my attorney about this and she stated that she didn't believe he would ever pay her, so she didn't want to pursue it. Can I push her on this issue? I don't know why I should have to pay attorney's fees when we're only back in court due to his failure to pay daycare.
