Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

My ex is refusing to disclose daycare or school information for our daughter. She also is refusing to allow me to help with the costs of daycare and also refusing to accept child support. She also allows her current husband to spank my child, even tho I have stressed I do not agree with it. What do I do?

If you were married, divorced, and have a parenting plan in effect, then I suggest you file a summons and petition to modify the parenting plan to remove your child from your ex's home, particularly given that she allows her husband to use corporal punishment on your child in direct conflict with your wishes.

On the child support issue, if your payments are sent through the office of support enforcement, I don't see how she refuses the payments, but I am not worried for you if that is the case. If on the other hand you make payments directly, then you need to send them by certified return receipt to try and document that you are making payments and they keep getting returned or no one cashes the checks. Whatever you do, never make a payment with cash or money orders since money orders are hard to track and cash is not trackable. The last thing you need is for her to deny you ever made a payment and then try to hit you up for interest on back support.

What I am suggesting you do here is usually beyond the scope of your average person, so I highly recommend that you seek local counsel to help you out.
