Be proactive! If by "restriction order" you mean "protection order" or "restraining order" you definitely want to hire counsel immediately to represent you. There can be severe consequences if a protection order is entered against you. For example, it may come up on background checks, and it may impede your ability to secure future employment. You should do all you can to head this off if possible. Hence, yes, you should take a proactive approach when possible.
