Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

I have had my green card for four years, am married and have a daughter. My wife filed for divorce and I had to leave the country to life with my parents because I lost my job. I am considering to take a job outside the US and return at a later point in time. Will I loose my green card, if yes how will I get it back. Does it matter that I will have to pay child support in the US ?

Yes, you can loose your green card by abandonment if you move abroad, take a job abroad and stay there for over a year.

There are ways to prevent this from happening if you don;t intend to abandon your residency.

You will remain liable for your child support.
