marriage for an asylee

i have been granted asylum under

homosexual persecution, but i got

married couples of months before

even applying for asylum, and my

wife is french, i didn't mentionned

her existence during my trial to

prevent any complication, and now i

want to know if i can and how can i

do to help her coming here with me,

in the US. is it going to complicate

my actual status and make me

loose my asylum?

This is not complicated. You lied. You filled out your I-589 under penalty of perjury, and you have a duty to inform the government and the immigration court of your marriage in that application, which you admit you did not do.

Simply put, if the government discovers your marriage, they may make a motion to reopen your case to ask the immigration judge to revoke the grant of asylum on the basis that you perjured yourself.

Guess what, now that you have an asylum grant, before you can apply to get your green card, you will again have to lie on another application to get the green card. If you tell the truth that you are married, that will result in my prediction above. I would say that you are essentially barred from sponsoring a wife to come to the US, based on your homosexual status. USCIS will never believe you have a genuine marriage to a woman as a male homosexual.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but this is the non-sugarcoated truth.
