Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

online "checks payable to" instructions for the I-130nd 485 are different than the I-485 worksheet. The I-485 worksheet is not available on line. Does it matter who you make the checks payable to. On line it says to Homeland Security and the I-485 work sheet it says to make the checks payable to "Immigration and....."

Does it matter?

Of course, it matters.

Payment for a petition or application filed with the USCIS should be made to "US Department of Homeland Security". You should read instructions on www.uscis.gov website.
