Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington
I have gone to my HR mananger in confidence that it would be kept confidential about my boss bad work ethics and now she knows and is giving me a hard time and threats that I may lose my job (over silly issues) what should I do? (no longer comftorble talking to HR.)

Unfortunately, there is no law that says bosses must be reasonable people or that HR departments must look out for the best interests of the employer. These are both good things to do, but they are not enforced by law. If you've taken this up the chain of command and gotten nowhere, you should probably start looking for a better opportunity with a more enlightened employer. If you get terminated before you find your way out on your own terms, consult an attorney, as it is possible that you may have recourse under a whistleblower statute, depending on the specifics of your case. But that's not a route you want to try to go while still working there. Finding work is tough right now, but it is a little easier for those currently employed. Start looking now. Good luck!
