Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

I live in the Washington state and was recently terminated from my job. When I apply for future employment what things can my former employer say by law? Also, do I have to tell my future employer I was terminated?

Your former employer can say anything that's truthful. Most restrict themselves because they don't want to have to prove the truthfulness of what they say.

As for what you tell future employers, you must be truthful on job applications. If they ask if you have ever been terminated or if the ask the reason for leaving this job, you should not lie. If they do not ask, you are not required to volunteer the information.
