Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Washington
I own a home in Seattle. I live in Pittsburgh. I want to sell my home in Seattle, but have tenants there who have a lease until Aug 2010. What happens to the lease if I sell my house before the lease expires?

The lease goes to the new owner who can evict the tenants prior to August 2010 if the new owner wants to move in. It's an exception in the law that allows this to happen.
