i signed my lease and landlord won't give me a copy

Write your landlord a letter and mail it to him or her by certified return receipt mail. Inform them that under the Residential Landlord Tenant Act (RCW 59.18 et. seq.) he has to provide you with a signed copy of the lease, as well as a copy of the move in check list, to name two basic requirements of many, and that failure to do so will result in you giving notice that you wish to terminate your lease and move out.

Normally, I do not advocate taking such a hard line with a landlord, but unless this is a simple misunderstanding, which it appears is not the case, and if you are already having this sort of basic trouble out the gate, then I think you are probably not going to want to stick around to find out how much worse things can get.
