Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington
I live in a housing development where we lease the land but own our homes. If someone hurts themselves on our property or common property are we liable?

When the question you pose is put into such a vacuum, with little facts, it is hard to answer. Theoretically, yes, you can be held liable. However, it depends on the specific facts of a given situation. Each situation can have different outcomes, depending on what warnings were posted, was the injured person otherwise warned about something, did the owner do all they could to make the property safe, what about the lessee, did they do all they were supposed to do, and what about the contract between the landowner and homeowner-does is specify who is responsible in such situations?
Bottom line, I need more information before I can say for sure. Also, is this a mobile home park you are describing? I know of no other situation in which a homeowner leases land but owns the home. That may make a difference as well, if that is the case.
