Mobile home contract with ex Girlfriend

I entered into a conract with my ex girlfriend in 1998 ( the mother os my 2 children).She moved out in 2000 and I kept the kids. In 2004 we entered into a split custody agreement. I have made all the payments on the mobile and taxes by myself. I believe there is a $12,000 oweing at this time.Can I take her to court for her to pay the rest? How do i do it and do i need a lawyer?

You need to tell us more about the contract's terms. For example, what amount was she supposed to pay, and how was she supposed to pay it? Monthly payments, a balloon payment, financing, what?
