Legal Question in Business Law in West Virginia
I frequently purchase items from sellers on eBay. Many of these sellers make the statement that they are not responsible for damage or lost shipments in the mail. I disagree with those statements as I feel it is the sellers responsibility for the item until it in the buyers hands. My question - Is a seller free from responsibility just by making that statement?

Any attorney will say you need to review eBay's rules about risk of loss or damage during shipping. In normal transactions, the seller is responsible, but eBay may have a different rule. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
