Legal Question in Technology Law in Wisconsin

can she do that?

I was recently terminated from a salon and i was wondering if it is legal for me to post on one of my websites that i an no longer employed there and an alternate way for clients to find me. She called me today and left a voice mail to take her name off my website or she was going to be contacting her lawyer. I am not trying to slander her name in anyway but since i was not allowed to have my clients contact information i am trying to give them a way to find me.

Re: can she do that?

Normally, you have the right to list your work history and contact information on your web site. As long as you are not disparaging the other salon, you should be okay. If you have the funds, I suggest you contact your attorney and review the details and show your attorney the website.

I hope this helps!

Unless you have a non-compete clause in effect you can certainly post that information on your website. Be careful about posting anything that would reveal your employer's trade secrets, libel you former employer or violate any contractural obligation that may have survived your employment.
