Under age drinking
My son is 19 years old and has gotten 4 tickets for underage drinking. Driving was not involved. These were house parties. Drugs were not involved. He lost his license for the second one for one year. He has an occupational drivers license. What will happen for his forth offence. The third and forth were close together. His court date for the 3rd is the end of January. He hasn't recieved his ticket in the mail for the forth yet. It just happened last weekend.

Re: Under age drinking
Aside from obtaining treatment for his drinking problem, your son needs to fight these tickets and consider even re-opening the old ones. A local lawyer familiar with the courts where these tickets are pending should easily be able to accomplish this. Even though it may be expensive, this expense will pale in comparison with future insurance costs if all these revocations remain on your son's driving record for the rest of his life. License revocation is discretionary for the judge on these cases and sentences are generally far more lenient for kids who can prove tht they have successfully completed treatment. Your local technical school also offers "responsible drinking" courses which may suffice (even though responsible drinking for a teenager is no drinking under WI law).
