Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Wills

My father passed away about ten years ago. I just found out that he had a will. When he passed away his 2nd wife had a reading of the will with out any one there it was just her and the Attorney. My question is there any way to find out what was on that will and if so what are the steps to take to see this will?

Re: Wills

The will should have been admitted to probate, and would be part of the court file. To look for it, contact the clerk's office of the county in which your father was a resident, and/or in which he passed away. Then ask if there is a probate file regarding your father. If so, you can make a request to see the file, as it is a public record.
