Legal Question in Military Law in Wisconsin

wrong cancer treatment medication

My wife was taken chemo-therapy in Hawaii for 7 months for ovarian cancer. We came bach to the mainland and therapy again. The doctors involved decided to change her medication to a much stronger and toxic one. She has diabetes, chronic cirrhosis, chronic anemia and conjestive heart failure.

The medication that they where given her the warnings for the medication significantly indicate ''Who should not use this medication if they have liver disease, heart disease. The use of this medication may be dangerous if you have any of the conditions listed above''. She took 1 treatme a month for three months and it totally destroyed her liver. The hospital was and had been aware of these conditions and never did anything on taken tests of her liver or heart. After the third treatment they said they wanted her to quit treatments because the next one will kill her. they would not answer my question why it will kill her. I had asked them from the beginnig that they shoul be looking after her liver. They said she does not have a liver problem. She passed away 5 months afer starting the treatment from cirrhosis of the liver not from her cancer. Do I have a case?

This is not a question to answer on a bulletin board. You should have a full evaluation by a medical malpractice attorney in Wisconsin.

In most instances you have 2 years to file a claim, I am not sure of the statute of limitations in Wisconsin.

I believe that this should be pursued.

Good luck!
