My garage is leaning and the roof is sagging

We purchased an older home in july 2003. We purchased a 3rd party inspection also. The inspection indicated exposed framing (poor/defective)''framing had been hacked away for clearance and some water damage evident.'' ''Sagging roof members some have been reinforced.'' At the time we signed the inspection off the damage was obviuosly underestimated by myself and I signed off the inspection with plans to purchase a few framing timbers to remedy the problem. The building is leaning and needing serious repairs. Our mortgage insurance declined to cover the garage and the contents in the event of a collapse. I will be making my second house payment this week, what options do I have. Thank you

I doubt that the seller owes you a remedy. You had an inspector, found out some problems, could have looked further, but bought it anyway. As far as the inspector goes, I am not sure. Your note says that you underestimated problem. If that is the case, and the inspector gave a competent report, and you didnt deal with it correctly, then you have no legal options -- you just need to fix it yourself or get help.
