Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Wisconsin
executor of will
my sister is exec. of my mom's will. she is in the process of quickly cleaning the house out to get ready to sell it. my other sis and i haven't had a reading of the will and have no idea what our mom wanted done. we are both involved in the clean out with my sis the exec. a lot of home furnishings have been thrown out already. isn't my sis the exec. supposed to provide a reading of the will and copies of all the pertinant docs. having to do with the will? the exec. also wants to replace all flooring in the house, which is paid for, and do various other ''repairs'', without any input from the remaining siblings.what rights do us siblings have and how do we go about bringing this up with the exec. without causing hard feelings. i might also say my sis the exec. is a professional banker.

Re: executor of will
Only in the movies is there a reading of the Will.
Since you are notnot clear about what stats case is from, I cannot give you much more information. The county clerk should be able to direct you to a copy of the Will. Probate makes it a public document. Of course, you could ask sis for a copy of the Will.
In Indiana, the pertinent documents are a petition to open an estate. In Indiana you should have gotten copies of these but the estate's attorney does that work.
