Would we be responsible for back child support?

We were contacted by a girl saying that she was my husbands daughter. She is now 17, he is one of the possible fathers. If he does a test to find out if he is really the bioligical father now could we be responsible for any back child support or any other financial responsibility now if he is the father.

It is possible that there would be some responsibility until she turns 19 under Alabama law as well as a possibility of some responsibility for college expenses depending on certain circumstances. Some back support could be ordered for a couple of years. I would strongly suggest that you hire an attorney to help you deal with this matter.
