Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I signed up with DirecTV for a particular package for (1) year and directv has not lived up to the promises in the flyer that I received. I signed up in September of 2012 and I like to know what can I do? If I cancel they will charge me a large cancellation fee. My bill has almost doubled. I never received the rebate for signing up with directv that was suppose to drop the package I received from $39.99 - $29.99

Your question is a little vague with respect to how DirecTV has not lived up to their end of the bargain, so it is difficult to comment. If they are truly breaching a contract, you could consider filing a small claims lawsuit for your damages (i.e. the amount of money that you've been over paying).
