Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

My sister condo in Santa Ana,Ca was foreclosured last year in 2008. She paid her HOAup to the month she left the condo. She got a "Request for entry of default & court judgement" from her HOA attorney. The house was sold by the bank early of this year. Her husband is currently unemployed. She has three kids. What kind of advise could you give?

She needed to file a response to the lawsuit the HOA allegedly served on her within 30 days of the service. If they did not service her with the complaint properly she may be able to got the default judgment set aside and then she can deal with the HOA attorney If she doesnt get the default judgment set aside the HOA can garnish her wages and levy her bank accounts.

I hope that was helpful and good luck.
