Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I recently had my car towed and my wallet and cash ended up being stolen from my vehicle. I believe it was the tow truck driver, how can i go about filing a claim against the tow truck company for my losses?

This happened to me once. The two company was owned by the Mob and when I complained to them they showed me their gun. You could sue them, but it's your word against theirs. If the towing was caused by the police you could file a complaint with the police department or the California Highway Patrol.
