Legal Question in Family Law in California

Im in a custody case currently and my soon to be ex wife is going to jail for 90 days, either house arrest or county. I have the opportunity to move to a better location closer to my work and less money. Can I move my two children and take them out of school and enroll them in a new school. Currently we have a verbal aggrement of 50 50 custody. she is convicted for having sex with a 16 yesr old and will not have to register as a sex offender. I am using a non profit attorney service and they cannot answer my question timely.

You should go to court and get an order granting you permission to have custody of the children and to move to a new location.

I agree, you should petition the court for approval to move the children to a new location. Given your wife's history, you may also want to ask the court for full custody of your children and only supervised visitation rights.
