Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been trying to get a divorce since 2008 and my ex has been finding one way or another to prolong it so he can continue to use my benefits. I finally got the papers so I can turn them in. Is there anything that I can include to request that the judge make the divorce final right away instead of waiting the 6 months?

It sounds as though the delay was caused by you not filing and serving your husband, so you will have to wait the 6 months from the time he was served to have your marriage terminated.
