Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do you finalize a case? The paperwork was submitted months ago, but now I'm learning that it was never finalized. What steps do I need to take to finalize this case?

It depends on the procedural posture of the case. If the court held a trial, and ordered one of the parties to prepare a judgment, then that needs to be prepared. If one spouse has defaulted, proper steps must be taken to see that the court clerk enters the default, and that a default judgment package is properly submitted to the court for the judge's signature and any possible hearing.
