Legal Question in Family Law in California

Remarriage

I am recently divorced and engaged. I understand my county requires a copy of the divorce decree to obtain a marriage license. I have only received a copy of the minute order stating the marriage terminated on 2/27/03. No property or debt issues have been resolved or settled. Will I still be able to obtain a decree or enough proof to be able to obtain a marriage license?

I suggest that you go to the court house and purchase a "certified copy" of your bifurcated judgment.

Good luck to you!
