Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am a california resident and worked in Nevada. My employer required its staff to carry a tool that costs $4000.00 plus. If you didnt have that tool you were charged and hourly rate for the employer to furnish that tool. Was this legal? The company has several hundred employees that have had to pay for this tool. A possible class action!

It does not sound legal; you should speak with an employment law attorney in Nevada or the Nevada Labor Commission.

I agree. Where YOU live doesn't matter. Where you work and the COMPANY exists determines the law that applies. So you have to ask a Nevada lawyer.
