Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am off for 2 weeks from a back injury thru workers comp and it happened 2 yrs. ago. My job is very stressful and back has gotten alot worse in the 2 years since it has happened. Today I had a job interview for a way less stressful job interview. Is it legal to give my 2 weeks notice if I get this new awesome job and go to work for them?
