17 days negotiation period is completed, buyer can't perform even signed and accepted the contract of sale already, still requesting different things, what is the recourse of seller? can they forfeit deposit. at the end of the closing date agreed.

It may depend on your written agreement and additional facts. If you were the seller of real property and the buyer did not go through with the sale, then it is possible that the buyer forfeited his deposit. If the buyer can still close but needs a little more time, then it is fairly typical for escrow to be extended.
