I am concerned about all the MD's being threatened into not giving anybody any pain pills. The only thing that takes my pain away is Norco and now no one will prescribe it. I have been through so much that I am ready to start a class action lawsuit against work mans comp I really do not want to get my meds on the street and heroine is out of the question. what can I do? My pain level is so high and I am barely making it HELP!!!

You can challenge the Utilization Review denial at the WCAB where the Application is file, filing a Declaration of Readiness to Proceed to an Expedited Trial and telling the judge the UR physician overlooked/misstated an obvious fact OR the UR denial was more than 5 business days after the treating physician sent in the RFA -- Request For Authorization (always show up with the fax transmission report or Proof of Service by Mail of the RFA on the insurer). The only other remedy is to go to the Emergency Room regularly and request they bill the insurance adjuster because the 'emergency' is the work injury and the adjuster is refusing treatment...enough emergency room bills and the adjuster will be much more eager to be rid of you.

The only other solution is to actively campaign against every Assemblywoman and State Senator in office, and make clear you are actively campaigning for their opponent because they supported SB863 that cut off your treatment and helped the insurance companies contributing to their campaign... if enough state elected officers hear this they wont be so eager to cut of Prescriptions to injured workers as they were in Sept. 2013.
