Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Colorado
Manager ignored professional integrity escalations
Approx May 2003 I was pulled into a project. I agreed to team up with a colleague to get a program out the door. We agreed to separate and distinct deliverables.
I delivered my work in June and continued to work business
issues (part numbering, prices)
Teammate begins to present my deliverables as his wown to company executives (copy and paste prezos).
Gains visibility for himself with research, part numbers and products derived from my docs.
Between June 19, 2003 and October 10, 2003 I escalated 4x to my manager by email, all of which I have.
On one occasion requested a meeting to re-establish ownership, no response from manager.
Manager does admit in an email that he has spoke to teammate about issue on July 29th, 2003.
Behavior continues, 2 more escalations.
Ultimately teammate tales over project and receives promotion. Last years review I ask my manager why I was not considered for a promotion and he tells me I am not visable enough.
Is this a reasonable situation to pursue?

Re: Manager ignored professional integrity escalations
You've given no reason to believe that you've been the victim of discrimination here.
A reasonable person could find that essentially you've allowed someone else to take credit for your work on an on-going basis with almost no resistance. You're going to have a hard time blaming the company for not making the environment less dog-eat-dog, when no federally protected right has been implicated.
