Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I am a divorced single mother of a 7 yr old with ADHA and Autistic Spectrum Disorder I work full time. In my divorce I was awarded $1 per yr in alimony. I want to go back to school but if I do my income will substantially be lowered. My ex husband remarried and him and his spouse live with her grandmother and have no bills and they m\both collect unemployment. I was awarded $26 a wk in child support becasue he is a "low income obligor". Should I wait till he has a job on the books to go for more alimony to help me through school or should I wait? Thank you

If you believe that he will be working soon and the change substantial, you should maybe wait. If you think it will be a long time and not that great of an increase, it may be worthwhile to pursue now. Its a difficult choice of strategy.
