Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut

Change of Status to H1B from L1

I am working on L1 visa from Company A. Company B applied by H1B visa as Change of Status and its approved now. If i don't want to join company B and stick to Company A, can i go back to India and then restamp the L1 for company A. Will there be any issues while stamping, because if there will be, i need to close all accounts from US, or have no other choice except to join Company B. Pleae advice.

I would say that since you are now on H-1B status your L-1 status no longer exists with company A. Although you can hold multiple H-1s you cannot hold two different status. There may however be the possibility of getting you back on an L-1 with company A. You can contact me at (732) 985-1310 to discuss this.

It would depend on whether Company B changed your status. You can tell by looking for an I-94 on the lower corner of the approval notice. If so, then your status has been changed.
