Legal Question in Consumer Law in District of Columbia

If a auto shop gives free 29 point inspection but does not give me one and does not talk with me about visible problems under the hood -- and the car goes out of control less than 60 seconds from leaving the shop--Is this negligence from the shop that guarantees 29 point inspections and promises good care and customer service advertised? And what are my rights?

I cannot comment on the specifics of your case. However, if you feel that the auto shop committed negligence, you may bring a lawsuit against it in the County in which the auto shop operates. The amount of damages will dictate whether you would file in Magistrate Court or Superior Court.

I STRONGLY recommend that you consult an attorney about the specifics of your case and your chances of success BEFORE you take any legal action.

Best of luck.*******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
