What is the legal statute in Florida in terms of time to take legal action with regard to bounced checks: is it 4 years or 3 years at most.

It depends. Most bad checks are misdemeanors which have a 2 year statute of limitations the felony versions are 3 years. However in many cases that State could file theft charges. A theft charge carries a 5 year statute of limitations.
