In this country, you typically attend law school after undergraduate school. Generally, it takes 3 years after college, and if you graduate with a juris doctor degree, then you become a lawyer. After graduating from law school, if you take and successfully pass the bar exam of a particular state and are admitted into that state's bar, then you become a licensed attorney in that state. Then and only then do you realize that you know virtually nothing about the reality of the practice of law, and you begin to work harder than you have ever worked in your life, and after a few years, you begin to realize that you actually do know something about the practice of law. Good luck.
