Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I am doing busines as a dba company. I have personal and business credit cards suing me. I am going thru a dept settlement co, having paid off a few. My bank account has been garnished. Can I start a new business in my name using a llc and not be liable for these debts?

Your new business will not be liable for your old business debts, but just because you start a new business as an llc doesn't mean that your creditors will not require you to personally guarantee payment of the new business' debts. Taxes in Ga are the same way, even if you are incorporated they can come after you personally for the business taxes.

No one here has your credit card agreements, but it is highly likely you are personally liable for all credit cards in the business name (and obviously in your personal name). That means the answer is no.
