Legal Question in Medical Leave in Georgia

disability

I have been out of work for a month with depression.I have all doctors papers and needed material.My company will not give me the short term disability papers or even discuss it with me.WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I would need more information to determine whether you are eligible for short-term disability or FMLA leave. Relevant information includes: (a) the number of employees at your facility; (b) the length of time you have been employed; and (c) the number of hours you have worked over the past twelve months. You should also try to obtain a copy of the Summary Plan Description (SPD) for the employer's short-term disability plan. Does your employer have a human resources department?
