Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

bank stalling on loan remodification

What can I do if the bank is stalling on

remodifing my loan. I have filled out

everything they sent me. Now they say my

file was closed for whatever reasson but

that we were still in the system for loan

remodification and we have to start the

process all over which will take 60 days

and the judge already set the date of june

5 2009 for the bank to take possession of

the house. He stated the bank should be

done before that date. But they are

stalling. What can I do to save my house?

Call 311 and ask for HOPI. They can bargain for you if you qualify. I can help you with an Appearance and Motion to Stay Sale so you can get more time for the process to work. Email me and we can set a time to talk.

I realize you are short of money, so I discount my services steeply for this kind of work.
