family problems

im 17 years old with a 8 month baby i live with my grandmother who is 61 with cancer history of illnees planning on leaving and staying with another family member my grandma has custody of me but not my daughter she tells me if i leave she will call the copes and i will go to jail i am currantly 17 in november turning 18 what will happened if i pack up and leave? can i go to jail?

You wont go to jail, however, your situation is complicated by the child. Otherwise, for sure, you might become a ward of the state. and be placed with a foster family, quite possibly the family member you mentioned. My educated guess is that is what will happen.
