Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

grandchild custody

Our daughter met a man online and they talked on the phone for about three weeks. She met him in person on a Sunday and he came to her house to visit on a Wed. and he is still there. Is there any way that we can get at least temporary custody of our two grandkids ages 5 and 6? Those kids should not be in this situation. The man just got back from Iraq in Dec. and we are worried about his mental health.

Re: grandchild custody

You are probably going to need more than just that information, however, third parties are allowed to obtain custody in Indiana. You might also want to discuss this with the father of the children.

Re: grandchild custody

More information will be needed: Why are you worried about his mental health? What is HER mental health like? (she's the one you'll be opposing in court, not him.) Where is the father? Is this important enough that you are willing to risk a permanent disruption in your relationship with your daughter, and maybe even with your grandchildren?
