Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I want to give my home to my daughter

I am 49 years old and want to give my home and property to my daughter. I am disabled and can no longer keep up with it. What procedure do I follow? I cannot afford a lot of legal fees.

You can complete a quit claim deed giving all of your interest to your daughter. You will need to use your name as it is stated on your present deed and your daughter's legal name. You will need your tax id number and the legal description and to comnplete the auditor's disclosure form.

Careful! If you are disabled and receiving Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income, the transfer of the real estate might disqualify you from public benefits. Check with a local elder law attorney for further guidance to be sure that there's no problem, so you don't do something that you may regret for a long time.
